According to the statutes of the Institute Nicolás Cabrera, one of the main objectives of the Institute is … “ research, development and scientific  innovation in the area of Materials Sciences. To this end, the Institute will promote collaborations between all its researchers with other researchers belonging to other public and private institutions..” 

In this way, the research groups of the Institute Nicolás Cabrera perform an extensive research work, mostly at the edge of knowledge, in Materials Science and Nanotechnology areas, as it is internationally recognized.
